We grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site and not to download (other than page caching) or modify any portion of it, except with our express written consent. You may not use any meta tags or any other "hidden text" utilizing our name or trademarks without our the express written consent. Any unauthorized use terminates the permission or license granted by us. You are granted a limited, revocable, and nonexclusive right to create a hyperlink to the Home page of this site so long as the link does not portray us, our dealers, or our products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter. If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. This site does sell products for children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase with a credit card. If you are under 18, you may use this site only with involvement of a parent or guardian. We, our dealers and our affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.
RISK OF LOSS
All items purchased from this site are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
We and our dealers attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.
With respect to items sold by us, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order; however, we do NOT charge your credit card until after your order has entered the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalog may be mispriced. If we discover a mispricing, we will do one of the following:
- If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we will charge the lower amount and ship you the item.
- If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
Please note that this policy applies only to products sold and shipped by us and/or our dealers.
We will ship your product as it becomes available. Usually, products ship the next business day except for orders received on Saturday, Sunday or any major holiday. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. These items will be fulfilled as soon as possible within 7 business days.
Your shopping cart reflects an estimated shipping cost, based on the shipping method you chose. This cost assumes all items in your cart are going to a single address within the contiguous United States. Some items may require special handling due to their size and/or weight, which will result in an additional charge. PLEASE NOTE: we do not ship lift chairs, scooters, rollators, wheelchairs, or transport chairs. When we process your order we will make any necessary adjustments in shipping costs and notify you of changes via email. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Thank you for shopping with Homecare America. We are committed to excellence in the merchandise you purchase from us. We realize that even though we provide only the best in medical supplies and equipment, you may occasionally find it necessary to return or exchange an item.
Damaged and Defective items: If an item arrives damaged or with a manufacturer defect or other error to which we are at fault, rest assured that we will do everything in our power to repair or replace it at no cost to you, even if it’s an item that is generally non-returnable. (*Exchanges will be offered if there is an occurrence where a measurement may be incorrect.)
Conditions for Return
Most items that we sell may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, minus shipping and restocking fees (where applicable), provided you follow the instructions listed below.
Items Eligible for Return must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be clean (no cracks, scratches, dirty or marked tires, etc.)
- The item must be unused
- The item must be in its original packaging with its UPC codes intact
- Power chairs and Scooters within 5 days of purchase date may be exchanged only
Items Not Eligible for Return
Due to health and hygienic regulations, we cannot accept products which relate to personal hygiene and self care for return:Products that come in contact with the body; cannot be returned - they are single use patient items. No hygiene product can be returned if the package has been opened per Public Health Policy and per our policy.
- Bathroom safety equipment (such as raised toilet seats, bath/shower transfer benches, grab bars, bathroom wheelchairs, tub bars, bath lifts, commodes, etc.)
- Body braces, splints, and stockings*
- Lift Chairs
- Seat cushions and backs, egg crate cushions, wheelchair cushions
- Opened packages or anything that cannot be resold as New
In addition, we also cannot accept:
- Special orders (non-stock items)
- Power chairs and Scooters more than 5 days after purchase
- Return requests more than 14 days after delivery
- Any item that has been modified or used
- Any item not in its original packaging
Charges and Fees
Assuming all conditions are met, we will be able to provide you with a refund, minus shipping fees, and restocking fees which apply to some items:
All Shipping charges are non-refundable. For orders that received “Free shipping” or if the item was advertised as “Free shipping”, the outbound shipping cost of the item (to get the item to you) will be withheld from your refund amount. Return shipping costs (of sending the item back to us) are also the responsibility of the customer. Unless the item is being returned due to our error, manufacturer defects, or damage during shipping, in which case we would send you a prepaid shipping label.
Most of our items are exempt from restocking fees. However, several items do have a 25% restocking fee, which would be deducted from your refund. Items by the following manufacturers are subject to restocking fees:
- American Diagnostic Corp. (ADC)
- Drive Medical
- Graham Field
- Golden Technologies
- Independence Medical
- Invacare (Invacare “equipment” only. Invacare “supplies” do not carry a restocking fee.)
- Nova Ortho-Med
Why Restocking Fees? We have to employ personnel to accept returns, inspect them to make sure all conditions are met (all the pieces are there, original packaging, no damage, no wear and tear), repair occasional minor damages caused by return shipping (if not large enough to cause our vendors to refuse the item), replace missing hardware, packaging, and instruction manuals, and put the item back in circulation or send it back to our vendors where the same steps are taken. The vendors charge retailers a fee for this service, which retailers, ourselves included, have no choice but to pass on to the customer.
- 1.Customers must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number to qualify for a return. Items returned without an RMA# will not be accepted. The appropriate parties need to know it’s coming.
- For a return to be accepted, customer must request an RMA number within 14 days of delivery.
- The easiest way to request an RMA number is by emailing us at email@example.com or choosing the “Contact Us” link on our website. Once it’s approved, we will send you an email within 1-2 business days containing easy and precise shipping directions, including your RMA# and the appropriate return shipping address.
- Items must be returned within 7 days of your receiving your RMA number
- We recommend that you make sure the item is packed properly and that the shipment is insured for its retail value. You should also obtain a valid tracking number. We are not responsible for items that are get lost or damaged on the way from the customer’s address to any of the return facilities.
All returns are subject to inspection. They must be in new, unused, resalable condition and contain all packaging materials, manuals, and blank warranty cards. Any item not in its original condition will be deemed unsuitable for resale and will not be accepted for a refund and will not be returned.
To exchange an item purchased online, you must:
- 1.Request an RMA# to return the first item (see above).
- Place a new order for the exchange
If you would prefer a refund, it will be issued within 7 days after we have received, inspected, and approved the return. We will credit your refund via the original payment method that you used to pay for the item.
Any order that the customer cancels after it has been placed, even if the customer has not received the item yet, is subject to regular return policies. Customer must accept delivery, and then contact us to set up a return, as per the instructions above. (This is because most orders begin processing almost immediately, as we can’t hang onto items in case the customer changes his mind and decides he doesn’t want it. If you’ve already placed an order, you have to assume it’s already gone out.) If the item is on backorder and actually hasn’t shipped yet, you would be able to cancel the order once we have confirmed with our vendor. In that case, we would let you know the situation and give you that option.
-Lift Chairs: Any lift chair ordered with additional options or any fabric that costs extra is known as a custom lift chair. Leather Lift Chairs are also considered custom lift chairs. Custom and builder1 lift chairs may not be cancelled once the item is in production. If an order is cancelled before the chair has left the warehouse, which is not a Custom chair, there is a $100 cancellation fee.1A builder lift chair is one that isn't kept in stock and is built when an order is placed.
-Power Chairs and Scooters: Any Power Chair or Scooter ordered may not be cancelled once the item is ordered from the manufacturer.If an order is cancelled before the power chair or scooter has left the warehouse, there is a $75 cancellation fee.

If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
